Digital sales will make up 54 percent of all quick- and limited-service restaurant sales by 2025, according to research from Incisiv, reports The Spoon. This is 70 percent higher than pre-COVID estimates. In addition, almost 70 percent of restaurant chains have “stated their intent” to increase investments in mobile ordering.
Incisiv encourages restaurants to make enhancements in digital technology, which would position them better if another shutdown occurs. However, the firm warns that some investments that restaurants have already made aren’t “necessarily addressing the highest priorities nor the solutions that will deliver the best maximum ROI across diverse customer expectations.” Full Story
