SFA President Bill Lynch is on the cover of the June issue of Trade Show Executive magazine. In an interview with the publication, Lynch spoke about the new normal for the trade show industry and how he led the SFA during unprecedented times.
“There was some complacency in areas of the trade show industry, and this shift has required us to think about our businesses much differently—not just for survival, but taking what we learned and applying it to creating an even stronger future for the events industry,” Lynch noted.
Reflecting on his two decades with the SFA, Lynch said, “During the 21 years that I’ve been with the SFA, I’ve been fortunate to work in a number of different areas of the business. I was thankfully promoted every few years to different roles by different leaders, and just last year, I sort of reached that last stop in the organization, which was the president role, which I was grateful to earn. It’s been quite a journey.”
